EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The Sabres named NORTHRUP KNOX Chair of the Board. 
     Knox is a former team President, and replaces his late
     brother SEYMOUR KNOX III (Sabres)....The NFL Cardinals hired
     ROD GRAVES as Assistant to the President.  Graves was Dir of
     Player Personnel for the Bears (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 5/20).
     ...The Mets named KEVIN MCCARTHY stadium manager.  McCarthy
     has been with the organization for 15 years (NEWSDAY, 5/20)
     ....WTNH-TV in New Haven, CT, named NOAH FINZ Sports Dir. 
     Finz had been a sportscaster at the CBS affiliate in Austin,
     TX (HARTFORD COURANT, 5/20)....Cohn & Wolfe's Atlanta office
     has hired AL LARSEN as an Account Exec on the Pennzoil
     Motorsports team.  Larsen is assigned to the IRL and NASCAR
     Craftsman Truck Series.  Also, MARGARET MCALLISTER has
     joined the Atlanta office as an Account Coordinator. 
     McAllister was with TN-based The Ingram Group and worked on
     the NFL Oilers' relocation PR campaign (Cohn & Wolfe).
