COUPLE WINS CLAIM OVER RAIDERS SELLING TICKETS WITHOUT PSLS

A small-claims judge ruled that the Oakland Football
Marketing Association (OFMA), which sells PSLs for Raiders
games, violated its contract and must give a refund to a
Sacramento couple who bought a PSL, according to Carolyn
McMillan of the CONTRA COSTA TIMES. The decision in the
"closely watched case" could "spark" dozens of similar
claims from other "disgruntled" PSL holders and "hamper"
current efforts to turn around the Raiders' "stagnant" PSL
program. Mark and Lisa Nunn claimed that the OFMA violated
the terms of its PSL agreement when it tried to "shore up
sagging ticket sales" last year by allowing people without
PSLs to purchase season-tickets. The judge ordered OFMA to
pay $3,019 to the couple for reimbursement of their PSL fees
and court costs. OFMA President Richard Rogers said the
team hasn't decided whether it would appeal the decision
(CONTRA COSTA TIMES/S.J. MERCURY NEWS, 4/23).
