FORMER DORNA CEO CIFARELLI TO LEAD NEW SPORTS SIGNAGE FIRM

Former Dorna USA CEO Jerry Cifarelli was named
President & CEO of NY-based ANC Sports Enterprises, a new
sports marketing firm specializing in stadium, arena and
facility rotational signage, as well as event promotion.
ANC has reached a multi-year deal to serve as the exclusive
provider of rotational signage systems for the WNBA (ANC).
BRANDWEEK's Terry Lefton writes ANC will "challenge what has
largely been a monopoly by Dorna in the medium of venue
signage." In addition to supplying WNBA courtside signage,
ANC will serve as a technology provider. ANC will also
supply a new sign behind home plate at the SkyDome for the
Blue Jays, ready by Opening Day, and it will help sell
Skydome signage. ANC has signed a five-year deal to market
rotating signage technology developed by CWL, Dorna's "top
European competitor." Cifarelli is also "looking" at
marketing other added media technology, including virtual
signage. One of ANC's investors is ex-MSG President, Nets
Chair and Celtics Vice Chair Alan Cohen (BRANDWEEK, 3/24).
