ATP ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN SITES FOR SENIORS

          The ATP Senior Tour of Champions, part of the new
     unified worldwide circuit that includes the Nuveen Tour,
     announced that the first tournament will take place in
     Prague this June.  IMG and the ATP Tour have organized the
     European events on the ATP Senior Tour of Champions.  The
     tour moves on from Prague to Portschach, Austria in July,
     Paris in September, Italy in October, Germany in November
     and London, for the final tournament in December. The tour
     includes Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Pat Cash, Yannick
     Noah, Henri Leconte and Bjorn Borg (ATP Tour).    
          TENNIS NEWS: Robin Finn of the N.Y. TIMES writes on the
     Davis Cup and Fed Cup under the header: "Loyalty Has Its
     Price, But Very Few Takers."  On USTA President Harry
     Marmion's plan to pay players to increase participation: 
     "Marmion believes his policy of enhanced compensation, which
     includes a significant donation to each player's charity of
     choice, is the answer to stabilizing and legitimizing the
     Davis Cup and the Fed Cup" (N.Y. TIMES, 2/19)....John
     Feinstein offers his solutions to the Davis Cup's "lack of
     fan interest" in this month's TENNIS magazine under the
     header: "Stagger The Cup To Stop Its Fall" (TENNIS, 3/97).
