MEDIA NOTES

CBS' Sports Illustrated for Kids Show this fall will
air Saturday mornings at 11:00am ET (BROADCASTING & CABLE,
2/10)....In Baltimore, Milton Kent notes ex-"SportsCenter"
anchor and Comedy Central's Craig Kilborn's response to
Desmond Howard saying that ESPN is turning into Comedy
Central. Kent: "With mock indignation, Kilborn declared
there was only one Comedy Central, and that ESPN should
stick to its shows with footage of games already played, its
'T-and-A exercise shows,' and to 'under-paying its anchors'"
(Baltimore SUN, 2/13)....The NBA's use of Intercast is
examined in BROADCASTING & CABLE. NBA will use Intercast
with at least one nationally televised game each week. NBA
Television and New Media Ventures President Ed Desser calls
its an "experiment." Desser: "It doesn't have the potential
to be that deep. This has the opportunity to expand upon
the information that is program-specific" (B&C, 2/10 issue).
