          With Converse endorser Dennis Rodman's reinstatement to
     the NBA, Converse has started airing a "revised version" of
     its Heritage Factory TV ad which will now feature a segment
     on the Bulls forward (Converse)....At yesterday's ceremony
     honoring Jackie Robinson on the cover of Wheaties boxes,
     Spike Lee said his film project of Robinson's life is "on
     hold" until he can come up with $35M in production costs
     (N.Y. POST, 2/12). General Mills will feature Robinson on
     limited-edition boxes of three varieties of Wheaties cereal. 
     The boxes will be available throughout the country this
     month (General Mills)....ADWEEK reports that Nike's three
     contenders for an agency to handle a new media assignment
     include Vivid Studios and Red Sky Interactive, both S.F.-
     based, and N.Y.-based Agency.com (ADWEEK, 2/10)....Sources
     say Spike/DDB ad agency is "expected" to land its second
     account, a retail client with spending of up to $8M this
     week (ADWEEK, 2/10 issue)....Spalding has signed a five-year
     licensing extension with the NBA to remain the league's
     official basketball through 2001 (Spalding)....Pats RB
     Curtis Martin and Dolphins RB Karim Abdul-Jabbar have signed
     with Dallas-based Werner Scott's Advantage Marketing for
     marketing and licensing deals.  Emmitt Smith is also on
     Scott's roster (BRANDWEEK, 2/10 issue).
