          For Sunday's NBA All-Star Game, NBC released a
     preliminary overnight ratings of a 12.7/20, down from a
     12.9/21 in '96 (THE DAILY)....Comedy Central will broadcast
     the first of its "Town Hall" Series, "What's Wrong with
     Sports in America?" on March 12.  It will be hosted by Pat
     O'Brien (Comedy Central)....TCI CEO John Malone said that he
     "doesn't plan to sell" the nation's No. 1 cable company
     despite speculation of a sale after Malone named Leo Hindery
     TCI's President (USA TODAY, 2/11)....TIME'S Richard Corliss
     reviews the Muhammad Ali documentary "When We Were Kings,"
     calling it "enthralling" (TIME, 2/17)....The NFL sued 16
     commercial establishments in the Buffalo-Rochester area for
     illegally intercepting and showing NFL game telecasts.  The
     league also filed suit in OH federal court against four
     commercial establishments for showing blacked-out Bengals
     home games in '96 (NFL).

Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
