NINERS' PRESIDENT SAYS TEAM POLICY COULD BE TO LEAVE IN 2006

          Feeling the "community is kicking us out," 49ers
     President Carmen Policy said yesterday the team may leave
     San Francisco in 2006 if their stadium and mega-mall
     initiative fails, according to Edward Epstein in the S.F.
     CHRONICLE.  Policy: "If we don't have a place to play in San
     Francisco what can we do?  Candlestick Park is not suitable
     for [NFL] play after 2006."  Policy added if the team does
     not get a majority vote in the city's June 3 special
     election, "It will be the community kicking us out. ...
     We're being escorted out of town" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 2/11).
