STADIUM NOTES

          In Toronto, the GLOBE & MAIL reports that the Raptors
     and Maple Leafs "finally may be getting close" to an
     agreement on sharing a new arena.  A source said: "I think
     it's a cinch that a deal will be done by the end of the
     month" (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 1/24)....In Dallas, the Cotton
     Bowl has hired Network Int'l, the marketing arm of stadium
     operating firm SMG, to sell luxury suites, premium seating,
     advertising and naming rights in an effort to raise $140M to
     put a dome on the Cotton Bowl stadium (DALLAS MORNING NEWS,
     1/23)....The Lions are in negotiations to buy the 900,000-
     square-foot Hudson's Warehouse, which sits next to the site
     of the team's planned downtown stadium (DETROIT NEWS, 1/24).
