          SportsChannel Florida announced the premiere of "Toyota
     Bowl Week - Florida Style," the network's coverage of
     Florida's top football bowl games, including the FedEx
     Orange Bowl, the Toyota Gator Bowl, Carquest Bowl, Outback
     Bowl and Citrus Bowl (SportsChannel)....ESPN Int'l acquired
     exclusive live rights to broadcast all 14 games of the '97
     Torneo de Verano summer Argentine Football Tournament
     (ESPN)....The Golf Channel will host Tiger Woods from 8-
     9:00pm ET, as a guest on TGC's live viewer call-in show
     "Golf Talk Live" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 12/18)...."Jock
     Jams, Volume 2," a joint release from ESPN and Tommy Boy has
     reached platinum status, selling more than one million
     copies (ESPN)....The Cardinals' Boomer Esiason: "I know
     broadcasting might be my future, but I don't think it will
     ever whet my competitive appetite much like quarterbacking
     does" ("Up Close," ESPN, 12/17)....ESPN's Keith Olbermann,
     opening the late "SportsCenter" with colleague Dan Patrick,
     who will sit in for "GMA" host Charles Gibson at the end of
     the month: "Along side my tag-team partner Charles Gibson,
     I'm Joan Lunden" ("SportsCenter," ESPN, 12/17).
     ...Cablevision's offer to Long Island, NY cable subscribers
     to log on to the Internet through TV cable instead of a
     telephone line was examined by "Moneyline."  Cablevision is
     aiming at 15,000 homes now and 150,000 a year from now. 
     CNN's Steve Young: "It's a start, but analysts say the
     rollout of the new modems will be slowed because of the high
     cost to cable operators of upgrading the rest of their
     equipment" ("Moneyline," 12/17).
