          PAUL ALLEN has purchased 20-acres in Issaquah, WA near
     Lake Sammamish State Park for $12.75M (SEATTLE TIMES,
     12/14)....DENNIS RODMAN was the most pretentious sports
     figure in '96, according to 10,000 fans who voted in this
     year's Smirnoff "Get Real" survey.  Rodman got 26% of the
     vote, with DEION SANDERS coming in a close second with 23%
     (USA TODAY, 12/16)....NFL Dir of Communications GREG AIELLO
     and actress KIRSTEN KRUEGER were married on Saturday at New
     York's Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church (N.Y. TIMES, 12/15).
     ...KERRI STRUG said she is scheduled to be on the cover of
     Sports Illustrated's year-end issue, December 30 (ARIZONA
     DAILY STAR, 12/15)....TIGER WOODS, on becoming a partner in
     the Official All-Star Cafe: "It's an association with great
     athletes.  It's very special, and I'm honored just to be a
     part of that" ("Extra," 12/13).  WOODS appeared on ABC's
     "Good Morning America" Monday wearing an Official All-Star
     Cafe shirt ("GMA," ABC, 12/16).
