LEAGUE BIRTHDAY VIDEO, "NBA AT 50," IN THE AIR TONIGHT

     In celebration of the NBA's 50th anniversary, "NBA at 50"
will air tonight on TNT at 8:00pm ET and 10:00pm ET.  The
documentary, hosted by Denzel Washington, "serves as a wonderful
refresher for older NBA fans and a terrific history lesson for
its younger fans" (Prentis Rogers, ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 11/13).
In Washington, Dick Heller: "If you're a fan of pro hoops, maybe
even if you're not, you don't want to miss the two-hour
documentary" (WASHINGTON TIMES, 11/11).  In Chicago, Michael
Hirsley: "This is must-see TV for pro basketball lovers" (CHICAGO
TRIBUNE, 11/11).  In Baltimore, Milton Kent notes the documentary
is "a decided step above the fawning one might expect when a
league celebrates such a milestone" (Baltimore SUN, 11/12).
