CHASE ADDS TO TENNIS CACHE WITH COREL WTA MSG EVENT

8.30.1996

     The Chase Manhattan Bank has signed a multi-year agreement
to become title sponsor of the Corel WTA Tour's season-ending
championships at Madison Square Garden.  The tournament now is
the Chase Championships of the Corel WTA Tour.  The Championships
had been sponsored by Avon, and most recently Virginia Slims
(Chase).
