YOU GOT A LICENSE FOR THAT? MLBP SIGNS NEW LICENSEES

     MLB Properties announced that Here's Fred Co. and BNOX, have
been signed as sporting goods licensees.  Jacksonville, FL-based
Here's Fred will introduce a line of golf-related equipment and
accessories bearing MLB marks. The items, available at pro shops,
sporting goods retailers and departments stores, have suggested
retail prices from $4.95 (tees, balls and accessories) to $59.95
(putters).  New York-based BNOX will launch officially licensed
binoculars at a suggested retail of $19.95, available at sporting
goods retailers and departments stores, as well as at MLB
concession stands, starting Spring '97 (MLBP).
     MORE LICENSEE ROSTER MOVES: MLBP announced the signing of
GEAR for Sports as an official licensee.  GEAR will offer
specialized distribution of MLB logo apparel and the product will
be introduced to select retailers and regional chains rather than
to mass retailers (MLBP).
