TWO HEADS BETTER THAN ONE? WILSON EYES TWO LEADERS

With the "impending" departure of Acting COO Jim Reid-
Anderson at Wilson, the Amer Group, Wilson's Finish-based parent
company, is "tinkering" with the idea of selecting one exec to
run Wilson's North America operations and another to run its
overseas business, including Japan and Europe, according to
George Lazarus in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. Amer CEO Roger Talermo
was in Chicago last week meeting with Wilson execs and
"advancing" the possibility of two chief execs. Talermo would
head up Wilson outside the U.S., in addition to his Amer duties,
while Wilson VP/GM Racquet Sports Jim Baugh is the "leading
candidate" to become president or CEO of Wilson North America.
Sources also say Wilson Tennis Business Dir John Embree and
Footwear Dir Jeff Harmet "may be boosted to new posts (CHICAGO
TRIBUNE, 8/19).
