SHARK EXTENDS DEAL WITH MAXFLI, SWITCHES TO XS BALL

     Maxfli Golf yesterday announced an extension of its five-
year business partnership with Greg Norman.  As part of the
"multi-faceted marketing" agreement, Norman will now use the
Maxfli XS golf ball -- which he has been testing since January --
 and consult with Maxfli on product development.  Norman
previously played the Maxfli HT golf ball.  Dunlop Slazenger
Group CEO David Jacobs called the deal Maxfli's "largest and most
aggressive marketing partnership."  Maxfli Worldwide Dir of
Marketing Barbara Kauffman:  "This partnership is indicative of a
new era for Maxfli.  We are on the move with new products, new
endorsements and a new way of doing business."  Terms of the deal
were not disclosed (Maxfli).  Norman's original six-year deal was
set to expire at the end of this year.  The ad budget is "in the
low eight figures" (George Lazarus, CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 7/18).
