     Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium Exec Dir Reggie Williams quit
his job and will launch a sports consulting company, Reggie
Williams & Assoc., rather than oversee the lame duck stadium
(ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 7/16)....Harris County Judge Robert
Eckels, who is negotiating a $450M package for a new Houston
baseball stadium and a renovated Astrodome, on efforts to keep
teams from moving:  "While the feeling is that you have to do
something for your community, you have to be able to walk away
from it" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 7/16). ....In L.A., Ara Najarian
writes the Arrowhead Pond's sight lines and "theater feel" help
explain why arena football, indoor soccer and roller hockey are
"thriving" there (L.A. TIMES, 7/16)....Groundskeepers at
Candlestick Park have made more than $541,000 in overtime during
the past two years with little or no oversight (S.F. CHRONICLE,
7/15)....Miami attorney Dan Paul will ask the Metro Commission
today to approve his petition for a referendum to block
construction of a new $165M arena for the Heat (MIAMI HERALD,
