OLYMPIC MEDIA NEWS & NOTES: SI TO PUBLISH VIEWERS GUIDE

     Sports Illustrated's "Olympic Viewers Guide to the
Centennial Olympic Games," a 36-page pull out section detailing
NBC's coverage, will run in the July 15 issue of SI and be
promoted on NBC (SI)....An Olympics database of The Encyclopedia
Britannica is available on the Internet at http://sports.eb.com
(Encyclopedia Britannica)....ESPN will air a live three-hour
special on July 16 at 7:30pm ET (ESPN)....The PointCast Network
will add an Olympics channel to its Internet-based news and
entertainment service.  The service will launch July 15, and
PointCast CEO Christopher Hasset said it might be a faster
alternative to "slow, oversubscribed Web sites" (AD AGE ONLINE,
7/9).
