ELAN-POLO AND EASTON SPORTS FOOTWEAR SIGN LICENSING DEAL

     Easton Sports has completed a licensing agreement with St.
Louis-based Elan-Polo, Inc. for select athletic and cleated
footwear products.  Elan-Polo will introduce several new,
exclusive cleated and athletic footwear designs carrying the
Easton brand name in Spring '97.  Easton President Greg Easton
says lending their name to Elan-Polo footwear will increase
Easton's brand awareness to a broader consumer base.  The branded
footwear will be sold through Elan-Polo's distribution channels.
This includes a sales network with offices in Minneapolis,
Nashville, St. Louis, Toronto, Australia, El Salvador and France;
and warehouses located in Nashville, Long Beach and Australia.
The company maintains a resources base of manufacturing in Hong
Kong, China, Indonesia and Korea with exclusive research  and
development facilities in Taichung, Taiwan (Easton).
