     In Jacksonville, Earl Daniels notes IBF Super Middleweight
Champ (and USBL player) Roy Jones, Jr., is likely to be featured
in a Nike commercial soon.  Jones said the ad would be boxing-
based.  Nike is also "considering" a Roy Jones Jr. shoe (Florida
TIMES-UNION, 5/12)....Target Stores have agreed to host a
Kodak/Target Volleyball Exhibition in the following cities prior
to select Miller Lite/AVP Tour events: Atlanta, Cleveland,
Minneapolis, Manhattan Beach and Chicago (AVP)....Former Pro Bowl
LB Carl Banks has partnered with the G-III Apparel Group to
produce licensed leather team jackets for the NFL, NASCAR and
colleges.  With J.H. Design Group no longer holding an NFL
license, Carl Banks G-III Apparel Group is the only high-end
leather specialty outerwear NFL license (TEAM LICENSING BUSINESS,
6/96 issue)....Orlando-based Entry Media and Van Wagner
Communications have signed an exclusive agreement whereby Van
Wagner will handle the selling of turnstile ad space via the
Turnstile AdSleeve armcovers (Entry Media)....GTE Entertainment
announced it has signed an agreement with the NCAA for the rights
to use the association's name in a line of CD-ROM sports games
targeting college basketball (TEAM LICENSING BUSINESS, 6/96
issue)....The NHL, the NFL and the National Association of
College Hockey Coaches have endorsed One Xcel's optically correct
facial shield.  Barry Sanders, Jaromir Jagr and Pat Verbeek "will
be wearing the product" (BOSTON HERALD, 5/14)....The ninth annual
Charlotte-based Tournament of Champions -- a college basketball
tournament that features UNC and South Carolina -- will continue
its association with Carolina Pepsi Bottlers and Harris Teeter,
and be known as the Harris Teeter Pepsi Challenge (Raycom).
