STADIUM NOTES

     NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue is scheduled to address a
subcommittee of the FL House Finance and Tax Committee to lobby
for a Hillsborough County referendum on a 5% surcharge on rental
cars to help fund a new $168M stadium for the Buccaneers (Sharon
McBreen, ORLANDO SENTINEL, 4/13)....The Milwaukee Professional
Baseball Park board meets today to decide whether to continue a
stadium sales tax and authorize the start of construction of a
new ballpark for the Brewers. Progress has been made in
finalizing the Brewers side of financing.  Also on Friday, the
head of the stadium board said downtown is no longer an option
(MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 4/13).... Nashville's downtown arena
will be "substantially complete" by October 26 (TENNESSEAN,
4/12).
