WANTED: SPONSORS FOR COTTON AND SUN BOWL GAMES
Published October 25, 1995
The Cotton and Sun bowl games "need to find some corporations with deep pockets soon," writes Steve Richardson in today's DALLAS MORNING NEWS, or they could go the way of the Bluebonnet Bowl, which ended in '87. Richardson reports the CBAA "isn't panicking yet," but some sponsor, several presenting sponsors or a combination "will need to come forward in the next few months if the bowl is to survive." The CBAA has no deadline to secure new sponsorship money (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 10/24).
