DECISION ON BIG 12 TITLE-GAME EXPECTED TODAY

     Athletic directors in the Big 12 expect to decide today
where to play their football championship game, according to the
HOUSTON CHRONICLE.  "There remains a sentiment among some league
athletic directors that the game should not be played," because
they believe "it could hurt the chances" for a Big 12 team to win
a national championship and for a second team to earn a Tier I
bowl bid.  Others contend it should be put off until after '96 to
see how Tier I bowl selections go this year" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE,
10/24).
