     Raycom has been retained by the PBA to seek a TV outlet and
title sponsorships for 12-24 Senior bowling tournaments in '96
and '97.  Besides seeking sponsorship of individual events,
Raycom will also market the title sponsorship of the senior tour
itself (Raycom)....According to a CBS proxy statement filed with
the SEC, many current and former CBS execs will make a
substantial profit via stock option payments from the
Westinghouse merger.  CBS Chair Larry Tisch $12.8M; CBS
Entertainment President Leslie Monnves $5M; Broadcast Group
President Peter Lund $3.23M; CFO Peter Keegan $2.34M; Affiliate
Relations President Anthony Malara $2.32M; former Sports
President Neal Pilson $1.56M; News President Eric Ober $1.46M;
and Station Group President Jonathan Rodgers $1.06M (BROADCASTING
& CABLE, 10/23).... Music "legend" Richie Havens has been signed
to narrate the HBO Sports documentary "Fields of Fire:  Sports in
the '60s," which debuts November 14 (HBO Sports)....Fox Sports
claims it is logging more than 600,000 hits per day on its Web
service that focuses primarily on its coverage of the NFL
(BROADCASTING & CABLE, 10/23)....Primestar will offer the Bowe-
Holyfield fight on its DBS service (Primestar).... The "Fitness
America Pageant" in New York will be broadcast live on ESPN2
October 29.  Among the on-air sponsors of the event:  Met-Rx,
TwinLab and EAS (American Sports Network). ....Stella Interactive
released six CD-ROM college football products yesterday.  The
titles, developed in conjunction with ABC Sports, focus on
different college football powers. The schools included in the
first release:  Penn State, Ohio State, FSU, Notre Dame, USC and
Michigan.  The anticipated retail price of the product is $45
(Stella)....The Pacers are reportedly "very close" to signing a
deal with Group W to carry 25-30 games per year.  Under the
proposed deal, Group W would sell cable distribution packages to
American Cable of IN and Comcast Corp.  Sources close to
negotiations say an agreement could be reached "as early as next
week" (Jim McConville, BROADCASTING & CABLE, 10/23 issue).
