KODAK INCREASES OLYMPIC ROLE WITH TV SERIES

Eastman Kodak will sponsor a syndicated series of 26 half-
hour shows beginning in September called "Kodak Presents the Road
to U.S. Olympic Gold." The move increases Kodak's presence
around the '96 Games, according to AD AGE ONLINE. The series
sponsorship is in addition to Kodak's co-sponsorship with IBM of
a 3-5 minute "CNN Olympic Update" to begin in July. Jefferson-
Pilot Sports & Entertainment will "produce, market and syndicate
the series, which will have other commercial slots" (AD AGE
ONLINE, 6/29).
SURVEY SAYS SPONSORS BENEFITING: Chilton's Express Survey
found that some companies are already benefiting from being a
'Proud Sponsor' of the '96 Olympics. Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Delta
Airlines, AT&T, Eastman Kodak and Visa are companies who
"currently rank relatively high in baseline awareness" of their
Olympic sponsorship (Chilton).
