Stanley Cup Playoffs: Ticket Demand Highest For Maple Leafs, Oilers

Two Canadian teams coming off postseason droughts are leading the way in terms of ticket demand for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, according to data from SeatGeek. The highest average resale price on the secondary market is $381 for Games 3 and 4 of the Maple Leafs-Capitals series, both in Toronto. The next most in-demand tickets are in Edmonton, as the Oilers have a combined average resale price of $358 for Games 1 and 2 against the Sharks. Rounding out the top five are the Rangers ($336), Blackhawks ($217) and Predators ($190).

The best playoff bargains are in Anaheim, where the average resale price is $78 for Flames-Ducks Games 1 and 2. Early home games for the Blues ($90) and Senators ($99) also feature average resale prices of less than $100. The average overall resale price of a Game 1-4 ticket is currently $162, up from $135 at this point last year. That is a 20% increase year over year.
