Crosby Has Top-Selling NHL Jersey In '16-17, Followed By Kane, Toews

Penguins C Sidney Crosby had the top-selling jersey for the ’16-17 season on shop.NHL.com. Blackhawks RW Patrick Kane and C Jonathan Toews finished in second and third, while Maple Leafs rookie C Auston Matthews had the fourth-highest selling jersey. Sales of league merchandise on Shop.NHL.com during the regular season were up 14% year-over-year, while jersey sales were up 11%.

Meanwhile, with the Stanley Cup Playoffs beginning tonight, NHL Network has opened a brand new 25’ x 19’ rink surface inside Studio 21 at its Secaucus, N.J., HQ. The network will be able to use this surface year-round, with plans to use it in programming for segments and in-depth demonstrations on specific players, teams, matchups and trends. The network will be airing live coverage before and after every game of the playoffs on NHL Tonight, and will also have recaps and previews across the league on NHL Now at 4:00pm ET.
