Dolphins Home Game Still On Despite Threat Of Hurricane

As of this afternoon, both the Dolphins and Univ. of Miami football team "plan on hosting their games at Hard Rock Stadium" this weekend despite the threat of Hurricane Matthew (MIAMIHERALD.com, 10/5). The Dolphins' offices "will be closed" tomorrow in anticipation of the storm. The "original schedule had the team not practicing Thursday" (AP, 10/5).

Other events have been postponed or canceled due to Matthew. The NHL Panthers postponed tomorrow's home preseason game against the Lightning (Panthers). UCF postponed its Friday night home game against Tulane as "Central Florida braces" for the storm. It has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5 (ORLANDOSENTINEL.com, 10/5). PGA Tour officials today announced that the Web.com Tour Championship, originally scheduled for Thursday-Sunday at Atlantic Beach Country Club, has been canceled (PGA Tour).
