Fox Sports Hires Aimee Leone For New Position Of Senior VP/Talent

Fox Sports hired Aimee Leone from WME-IMG to be Senior VP/Talent. A former NBC Sports exec, Leone will move from the N.Y. area to L.A. and report to both Fox Sports National Networks President Jamie Horowitz and Fox Sports Production President John Entz. She starts the first week of July. The position is a new one that will see Leone recruit, manage and schedule on-air talent for Fox Sports and FS1. Horowitz said that he has known Leone since the late '90s when they both worked at NBC.

Horowitz: "We are making an incredibly large bet that one of the ways for FS1 to distinguish itself in the marketplace is by acquiring transformational talent. It takes an incredible amount of time and patience to manage people who go on the air every day. You need someone outside the show who can be a different voice with them. Aimee has the gifts that will make her a part-time executive, part-time therapist and part-time bartender." Entz agreed: "We have so many talent now, it’s important to have a central point to manage them. Aimee is a perfect fit for that."
