NFL Giants Continue To Grow Health Festival At MetLife Stadium

The NFL Giants’ fourth annual health festival kicks off Saturday at MetLife Stadium, with sponsors support from WNBC, WNJU-Telemundo, Quest Diagnostics and Verizon. Last year, the two-day health and fitness fest drew 40,000 fans. Quest and Hackensack Univ. Medical Center will offer adults free health screenings, In addition to a zipline, Verizon is underwriting a "Giants Experience," within which fans can participate in football activities on the MetLife field. There will also be locker room tours. Giants CMO Mike Stevens said attendance has grown more than 5,000 each year at what is officially the NBC 4 New York/WNBC and Telemundo 47Health & Fitness Expo, presented by Quest Diagnostics. Sponsorship has been growing by double digits each year.

On Sunday, Giants RB Rashad Jennings will lead a “Zen in the Zone” mega-yoga event on the field at 9:00am ET. Fans are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats. Other events will include former NFer Phil Simms’ "GamePlan for Health Chalk Talk." Also, participants from NBC’s “The Biggest Loser’’ will offer advice on healthy living, and participants from Bravo’s “Top Chef” will hold healthy cooking demonstrations.

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
