NHL Network Rolling Out New Studio Space In Time For Postseason

NHL Network will debut its new 1,200-square-foot studio space on-air tonight, and it will serve as the home to “NHL Tonight” throughout the '16 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Coined “The Rink,” the dedicated hockey space features 14-foot walls etched with the names of the last 10 Stanley Cup Champions. It also has a 20-foot wide LED display on the back wall that can feature footage, stats or graphics and an 11-foot desk. An 84-inch monitor hangs within a 7x7-foot goal lined with lights along the crossbar.

The net’s production and operations were moved to Secaucus, N.J., in September following the NHL signing a digital rights partnership with MLBAM the previous month. NHL Network begins its postseason coverage tonight with a preview of the Western Conference matchups.
