"Long Overdue" All-Female Sports Talk Show Set To Debut Tonight

CBS Sports Network tonight will unveil its weekly all-female sports talk show “We Need To Talk,” with the first two segments including discussion around the NFL’s recent domestic abuse issues. The show airs from 10:00-11:00pm ET on CBSSN. “We’ve been discussing this and developing it for a long time, we thought it was long overdue,” CBS Sports President David Berson said. “I think the news over the last month has probably showcased the need for a show like this.”

The weekly show features 12 on-air personalities – four or five on a given week – including the likes of Lesley Visser, Allie LaForce and Andrea Kremer, among others. Eleven of the 12 will appear tonight, with the exception of Summer Sanders, who is out of the country. Though a portion of tonight’s debut will focus on the NFL’s issues, Berson said it is “not intended to be a social-issue show.” Discussions will usually revolve around news in the sports world. Berson: “This is intended to be a sports talk show. It just so happens that all of the panelists are women.”
