NASCAR Revs Up Multiplatform Chase For The Sprint Cup Promotion

NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup promotion kicks into full gear today with appearances by the 16 qualifying drivers and corresponding social media activation. The "Chase Across North America" media tour is highlighted in posts and images via the #MyChaseNation Twitter hashtag. It features the drivers in 16 cities and three countries, with one driver visiting the following: every Chase track market, L.A., Mexico City, San Antonio, Toronto, N.Y. and Bristol, Conn. TV appearances include Kevin Harvick on ESPN, Jimmie Johnson on CNBC's "Power Lunch" and Dale Earnhardt Jr. on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (THE DAILY).

Today's activation is part of the NASCAR's "most comprehensive promotion" of the Chase to date. The effort "includes TV advertising, digital promotions, driver appearances, track marketing and a social media campaign and is designed to raise awareness of the new Chase format in hopes of keeping the interest of existing NASCAR fans and attracting casual fans" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 9/1 issue).
