NBC Sports Group announced a multiyear broadcast deal with Red Bull Global Rallycross through the '15 season, airing up to nine Global Rallycross races annually the next two years (NBC Sports Group).

The UNC-Charlotte athletic department, via media rights holder IMG College, has completed a radio rights deal with area sports talk station WFNZ-AM. The school's football and men's basketball games will be broadcast on the station, unless the games are in conflict with Hornets games (UNC-Charlotte).

AMP Energy and NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced the debut of a new sour grape flavor, "Dale Jr. Sour," available for a limited time at participating 7-Eleven Stores (AMP Energy).

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh is "creating an office to lobby for high-profile events such as the X Games, professional all-star games and even the Final Four" to come to the city (BOSTON HERALD, 4/2).

The cover of SI this week shows Kentucky G Aaron Harrison hitting the pivotal game winning shot against Michigan to get into the Final Four with the header, "Two's Shining Moment." Wisconsin G Josh Gasser appears on a regional cover with the copy, "On Wisconsin" (THE DAILY).
