Bellator today launched its second-screen “Bellator MMA” app for the iPad and iPhone to be used in conjunction with Spike’s broadcast of “Bellator MMA Live” tonight at 10:00pm ET. App users will be able to act as the “4th Judge” for the event, scoring fights with the help of real-time statistics in 26 categories from CompuStrike. The results of fan scoring will be revealed on-air by Bellator announcers Sean Wheelock and Jimmy Smith. The free app also provides historical statistics and videos for participating fighters, and is divided into pre-fight, live fight and post-fight stages. The app was created by Omnigon Communications in partnership with Spike.

Spike President Kevin Kay said, “Everybody that’s seen it has fallen in love with it. Even the guys at Apple when we went up there to show it to them to get their approval were like, ‘This is the best second-screen sports application we’ve seen.’ That was high praise coming from those guys, so that got us excited.”
