The NFL today formally announced that John Brody has joined the league as Senior VP/Sponsorship & Media Sales. Brody will report to NFL Media COO Brian Rolapp (NFL). THE DAILY first reported the news late last month.

EPL club Manchester United today formally announced that Exec Vice Chair Ed Woodward will assume outgoing CEO David Gill's responsibilities on June 30. Woodward has elevated Commercial Dir Richard Arnold to Group Managing Dir, overseeing all of the club's commercial and operational aspects (ManU).

SiriusXM Radio today announced that former Chiefs GM Scott Pioli will serve as an analyst on the company's NFL channel (SiriusXM Radio).

The Univ. of North Dakota has suspended men's basketball play-by-play announcer Paul Ralston for two games, starting tonight, "in the wake of some postgame comments" after Saturday's overtime loss to Northern Arizona. Ralston used the "term 'choke job' when interviewing" head coach Brian Jones (WDAY.com, 2/20).
