Penguins Offer Concessions Giveaways, Merchandise Discounts

The Penguins today announced that they will offer free select concession items and half off all merchandise at "PensGear" stores for the team's first four home games of the season at Consol Energy Center. Every fan attending those games will receive a voucher for three concession items. The team also will hold a week-long program of contests for fans via social media and the team website. Prizes will include tickets, road trip packages, autographed jerseys and more merchandise (Penguins).
Meanwhile, the Lightning and Tampa Bay Times Forum will host a job fair from 5:00-9:00pm ET for anyone interested in applying for part-time positions during the upcoming NHL season (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/10).
The NHL Kings will hold a press conference at 4:00pm PT at Staples Center to "kick off the season and, likely, to thank fans for their patience during the lockout." FS West will telecast live coverage of the event, which will feature top club execs and coach Darryl Sutter (L.A. TIMES, 1/9).
