Kentucky State Officials Support UK Construction Projects

Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear and "top legislative leaders" have expressed support of a plan for $363M in construction projects at several public universities, including $110M in upgrades to the Univ. of Kentucky's Commonwealth Stadium. The proposed football stadium renovation would "add luxury suites, recruiting space and improvements to other football facilities." The project is "expected to start in 2013 with an estimated completion date of July 2015." The projects will be funded with agency bonds (KENTUCKY.com, 1/10).
