MLB owners, as expected, today unanimously approved Indians Chair & CEO Paul Dolan as the club's new designated control executive (Eric Fisher, SportsBusiness Journal).

MLS today formally announced that K.C. will be the host city for this year's All-Star Game, which will be played July 31 at Livestrong Sporting Park. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN, Univision, TSN and RDS family of networks at 8:30pm ET (MLS).

Sportsnet today announced a four-year multiplatform agreement with CONCACAF for the Canadian broadcast rights to seven properties: Gold Cup, Champions League, men's and women's Olympic qualifiers, men's and women's under-20 and under-17 Championships, Futsal Championship and women's FIFA World Cup qualifiers (Sportsnet).

U.S. Attorney Joseph Hogsett today announced an "historic agreement" between the Dept. of Justice, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and members of the Indiana disability community. The deal will "create a plan to bring the privately owned Speedway into full compliance with federal disability law" (INDYSTAR.com, 1/10).

USANA Health Sciences today announced an endorsement deal with tennis player Sloane Stephens, who joins a list of endorsers for the nutrition company that includes fellow female tennis players Sam Stosur, Liezel Huber, Aleksandra Wozniak, Zheng Jie and the retired Kim Clijsters (USANA Health Sciences).

Principal Financial Group has renewed its sponsorship deal with the Big Ten Conference. The renewed deal includes a sweepstakes, on-site presence for sporting events and activation via the Big Ten Digital Network of sites (THE DAILY).
