Florida, Louisville Have Trouble Selling Sugar Bowl Ticket Allotments

The official announced attendance for the Florida State-Northern Illinois Discover Orange Bowl was 72,073 at 78,000-seat Sun Life Stadium. But there were “probably no more than 50,000 to 55,000 at the game” (SUNTIMES.com, 1/1). Meanwhile, the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl had its lowest attendance since ’00, while the Hyundai Sun Bowl had its lowest crowd since ’01 (THE DAILY).
