Nets Hosting Knicks Tonight For Preseason Game At Nassau Coliseum

The Nets host the Knicks tonight at Nassau Coliseum and the N.Y. TIMES' Howard Beck writes while "it is only a preseason game ... it is the start of, well, something." With the Nets leaving New Jersey to settle in Brooklyn this offseason, "the dynamic irrevocably changed. And it is impossible to ignore." Nets coach Avery Johnson: "Going to restaurants in Manhattan and guys are saying, 'Brooklyn,' or they're saying, 'The Knicks are still going to beat you guys.' Or I'm in Brooklyn and the fans are going crazy with their Brooklyn Nets gear on and saying, 'We can't wait to play the Knicks" (N.Y. TIMES, 10/23).

Nets F Kris Humphries was also asked to compare Barclays Center with a recently renovated MSG and said, "I don't think you can really compare the arenas. This is on another level. Barclays is better than MSG. ... Billion equals better" (ESPN.com, 10/23).
