Manchester United Signs Its First Mobile Phone Deal In Europe

EPL club Manchester United has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Bulgaria-based telecommunications company GLOBUL, which will offer consumers in Bulgaria access to exclusive news, interviews, special features and other content over its mobile network (Manchester United). ManU Commercial Dir Richard Arnold said GLOBUL is the "first mobile company we have teamed up with in Europe." But the club has sold "news and interviews for mobile platforms in the Middle East and Asia" (AP, 2/7).
