Halloween Elements Will Be Part Of "MNF" Opening Sequence

There will be several Halloween elements in ESPN's opening to tonight's Chargers-Chiefs "MNF" game. The theme “Rise of Kansas City” is both Halloween-inspired and refers to the Chiefs’ improved play the past few weeks. Chiefs HOF QB Len Dawson will appear in the sequence. “Dance Macabre” will be the musical score to play off the Halloween theme; ESPN crews shot footage with the Philharmonia of Greater K.C. orchestra at Elmwood Cemetery in K.C. (THE DAILY).

Meanwhile, the NHL Panthers will offer free admission to tonight's home game against the Jets to children in costume ages 12 and under. Goings-on at BankAtlantic Center will include "a costume contest, live music, Halloween-themed game presentation, interactive games and activities" (SUN-SENTINEL.com, 10/30).
