PGA Tour Unveils '12 Schedule, With Changes Starting In First Event

The PGA Tour today released its '12 schedule, which features again 45 official money tournaments: 37 during the regular season, four in the Playoffs for the FedExCup and four Fall Series events. The calendar includes an off week prior to the week of the Tour Championship, one week later than last year's off week. Other changes include the following:

  • The season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions will conclude on Jan. 9, a Monday rather than a Sunday.
  • The RBC Heritage returns to its traditional week in April immediately after The Masters.
  • Two events in May – the HP Byron Nelson Championship and Crowne Plaza Invitational – switch weeks from last year's schedule.
  • The Greenbrier Classic moves from the end of July to July 2-8.
  • The Fall Series Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic moves from the end of October to Nov. 5-11 (PGA Tour).
