Move over Mannings: Kelce brothers in high demand in media circles

The New Heights podcast “could end up being the brothers’ biggest deal yet"Wave Sports + Entertainment
Travis and Jason Kelce have become “two of the hottest names in the media business,” and interest in their services is “said to be in high demand,” according to Alex Weprin of the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Travis’ “latest gig” is becoming a game show host. He has been “taping a reimagining of the game show 'Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?'” for Amazon Prime Video titled “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” with “famous faces replacing the titular schoolkids.” Prime announced the 20-episode pickup yesterday. Weprin noted Travis signed with CAA last year for his “off-the-field work.” During Super Bowl week in Las Vegas, Jason was “courted by many of the league’s broadcast partners,” seeking to “entice him to their studio shows or broadcast booths.” While Jason is “pursuing NFL-related options,” Travis “already is thinking beyond the game show.” Travis said that he is “interested in pursuing scripted roles as well.” Weprin wrote the New Heights podcast “could end up being the brothers’ biggest deal yet.” The show is “being shopped around for a new deal,” with artist Taylor Swift herself “sporting a New Heights baseball cap at Coachella earlier this month.” And while the “podcast market writ large has cooled,” top shows are “still scoring big paydays.” Weprin wrote an “eight-figure deal for New Heights certainly has to be in play” (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 4/17).

HAT TIP: In K.C., Pete Grathoff noted Swift wore a “green New Heights cap” at Coachella on Saturday. On the latest New Heights podcast episode, the Kelce brothers “talked about getting the Swift bump.” Jason said Swift is a “big ‘New Heights’ supporter” and they “sold out of the green hat real quick.” Travis added, “It’s a good color green.” Grathoff reported at roughly 2:30pm CT on Monday, the podcast “shared a message on X about the caps being available once again.” Less than an hour later, there was a message on the website that sells New Heights merchandise saying that the green caps “wouldn’t ship until May 7.” A few hours later, that date was “pushed back two weeks” (K.C. STAR, 4/17).
