NASCAR Reveals Details Of Latest Race To Green Initiative

NASCAR today unveiled details around this year's NASCAR Race to Green initiative, which attempts to highlight the way the sport and some of its stakeholders are working to reduce their environmental impact and educate fans. Highlights of this year’s week-long campaign include a digital docu-series on NASCAR.com highlighting the sustainability efforts of partners such as American Ethanol, Mobil 1 and Toyota; a carbon footprint quiz on NASCAR.com; and an integration of the "go green" mantra during national series events this weekend in ways like putting the color green on the A-post of cars and displaying NASCAR Green flags at the track.

This is the fourth year of the NASCAR Race to Green effort, and the unveiling comes during the spring Sprint Cup Series race week for Richmond Int'l Raceway. The venue this weekend is unveiling a new Toyota-sponsored green space filled with trees and plants.
