Baseball

RIVERA
The Seattle Mariners hired Fred Rivera as executive vice president and general counsel. Rivera was managing partner for law firm Perkins Coie’s Seattle office.

The independent Frontier League’s Schaumburg (Ill.) Boomers hired Dave Chase as general manager. Chase was general manager for the independent Can-Am League’s Sussex County (N.J.) Miners.

Little League International hired Ashlea Nash as central region assistant director. Nash was a marketing and project coordinator for Vision Event Management.

Colleges
The University of San Diego hired Marcy Lanoue as senior associate athletic director for external affairs and Tyler Mariucci as senior associate athletic director for development. Lanoue was associate athletic director for development at the University of Southern Mississippi, and Mariucci was associate athletic director for sports administration and development at the University of Maryland.

Appalachian State University promoted Suzette Mauney to assistant athletic director for development.

The University of South Carolina Aiken hired Jim Herlihy as athletic director. Herlihy was senior associate athletic director for administration and finance at the University of Massachusetts.

WYNKOOP
Spectra by Comcast Spectacor named Fran Rodowicz general manager of the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, N.J.; Claudia Oliveira general manager of Ford Park in Beaumont, Tex.; and Jim Wynkoop general manager of Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

Olympia Entertainment named John King vice president of information technology and innovation and Pete Skorich vice president of entertainment services. King was vice president of information technology and business systems for Palace Sports & Entertainment, and Skorich was director of production and lead producer for the National Hot Rod Association.

Hockey
The Vegas Golden Knights hired Jim Frevola as senior vice president and chief sales officer. Frevola was chief partnership officer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Marketing
Bullish Inc. hired Joy Liang Kruth as a director. Kruth was a consultant for A.T. Kearney.

REED
BAUMGARTNER
CSE promoted Chris Baumgartner to senior vice president of account services and Jelanii Reed to vice president of diversity marketing. CSE Football named Michael Katz co-president.

Jimmy deCastro launched sports marketing company After the Whistle. DeCastro was president and general manager of WGN-AM in Chicago.

Tandem Sports & Entertainment promoted Katherine O’Toole to public relations manager.

Media
ESPN Radio named Justin Craig senior director of programming and operations. Ryan Hurley was promoted to program director and Jonathan Winthrop to assistant program director at ESPN Radio New York.

Multiteam Companies
Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment hired Drew Cloud as chief business officer. Cloud was executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Soccer

SHIN
Major League Soccer and Soccer United Marketing promoted Charlie Shin to vice president of CRM and analytics, Dan Stelly to senior coordinator of social media and Will Walsh to senior producer and editor of social video.

Other
V-One Sports hired Chris McGinley as chief executive officer. McGinley was vice president of marketing for Titleist.

Awards and Boards
The Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst named as recipients of the VanderZwaag Distinguished Alumni Award Chris Antonetti, Cleveland Indians president; Jennifer Masi, MKTG vice president; and Russell Spielman, The Legacy Agency co-founder and principal. Winners of the Alumni on the Rise Award include Eric Ginsberg, MKTG director of digital strategy; Karina Siam Herold, Pepperdine University senior associate athletic director and senior woman administrator; and Evan Olesh, Puma director of marketing.
