Kenny Albert has been calling games for radio and television since 1990, when he was the lead voice of the Baltimore Skipjacks minor league hockey team. But Albert has never had a stretch like he did in the middle of last month, when he called four professional sports in nine days: MLB, the NHL, the NFL and the NBA.

“I’ve had weeks where I’ve had three sports; that happens somewhat frequently this time of year,” he said. “Four was really unusual.”

Albert’s string started Oct. 14, with Game 5 of the Rangers-Blue Jays ALDS for Fox Sports 1. The next day, he was in Montreal for Rangers-Canadiens for MSG Radio. He went on from there to cover a Redskins-Jets game for Fox, followed by another Rangers hockey game and a Knicks-Celtics preseason game for MSG.
