Tequila names bleacher area

The Chicago Cubs’ new official tequila, Hornitos, secured naming rights for a portion of the Wrigley Field left field seating area that has been rebranded as the Hornitos Hacienda. Hornitos receives signage on the left field wall and in-game promotions via the ballpark’s video board.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.
DIS banking on Fifth Third

Fifth Third Bank signed on to fill Daytona International Speedway’s banking sponsorship category with a multiyear pact. The Cincinnati-based bank, which already had deals with Kentucky Speedway and with Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 17 Ford driven by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., becomes the official bank of the Daytona track.

HOUSTON
Final Four signs PSP for marketing

Professional Sports Partners will be the marketing agency partner for the 2016 NCAA Men’s Final Four in Houston. PSP will work in partnership with the Houston Local Organizing Committee on all media, PR, grassroots advertising and community outreach for the collegiate basketball championship weekend.

JACKSONVILLE
Jags adding table, chalet tickets

The Jacksonville Jaguars are adding two ticket and seating features as part of their new Jaguars Black program, according to a Florida Times-Union report. The program includes the addition of four-person tables just outside the Bud Light Party Zone, as well as eight-person chalets on the Terrace Suite deck overlooking the south end zone.

Inaugural women’s summit set
The Center for Creative Leadership and National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators will host the inaugural AthLeadership Executive Summit for women athletic directors, conference commissioners and C-suite executives July 29-31 in Kansas City. The event is sponsored by Sprint, HOK and Global Prairie.

AFL team partners with casino

The LA Kiss signed the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino as a partner for the remainder of the 2015 AFL season. The partnership features signage, branding, promotional giveaways at games, and hosted nights at the casino.

MILWAUKEE

Brewers, bank start Hits for Homes
Associated Bank and the Brewers Community Foundation launched a program called Hits for Homes. For every hit recorded by the Milwaukee Brewers during home games the remainder of this year, $250 will be donated to Housing Resources Inc., up to a combined $100,000. Additionally, fans who sign up for a Brewers checking account and debit card at Miller Park can receive a gift certificate to the Brewers team store.

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL
NASL team signs craft beer sponsor

Minnesota United FC tapped Summit Brewing Co. as the NASL team’s official craft beer. The St. Paul-based brewer will present the starting lineup before the team’s matches and pour beer at its home games at the National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minn.

‘Impractical Jokers’ in the lineup
The stars of truTV’s “Impractical Jokers” will take over MCU Park on Sunday as the Brooklyn Cyclones take on the Vermont Lake Monsters. The first 2,500 fans in attendance for the Class A game will be given a bobblehead of either Sal, Joe, Q or Murr, the four longtime friends who star in the hidden-camera show. In-game entertainment will include the quartet’s many challenges that have become synonymous with the show.

NYCFC adds PepsiCo
New York City FC signed PepsiCo to a team-level partnership. PepsiCo’s portfolio of food and beverages will serve as the MLS team’s official and exclusive carbonated soft drink, bottled water, ready-to-drink iced tea, chips and salty snack partner.
 

PHILADELPHIA
Phillies cook up second volume

The Philadelphia Phillies unveiled the second volume of a team cookbook featuring healthy recipes from players, coaches and their families. The $19.99 cookbook is available online as well as at the Majestic Clubhouse Store and at newsstands at Citizens Bank Park. Proceeds will benefit Phillies Charities Inc.

PITTSBURGH
Hotel tax hike sought for new commission

Tourism agency VisitPittsburgh is seeking a 2 percent increase in Allegheny County’s hotel tax to fund a new sports commission that would work to attract major sporting events to Pittsburgh, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report. The money also would be used to offset the cost of bids to bring more conventions to Pittsburgh.

Pirates honor fans with outfield sign
The Pittsburgh Pirates unveiled outfield wall signage recognizing this year’s Pirates season-ticket members. The 8-by-7-foot padded panels are affixed to the left field wall at PNC Park. Members who have been with the team since the ballpark’s opening in 2001 are recognized in capital letters.

Team adds Tipbet to roster

Second Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf reached a partnership with Malta-based online bookmakers Tipbet worth more than $1.1 million across three seasons to 2017-18, according to a SoccerEx report. Tipbet will be added to Fortuna’s roster of premium sponsors, where it joins the Warsteiner Group.

Evergrande eyes stock market

Guangzhou Evergrande looks to become the first Asian football club to list on the stock market, according to a Financial Times report. Evergrande, the Chinese property company that co-owns the team with e-commerce group Alibaba, applied to list the shares on China’s exchange for small companies.

MARSEILLE, FRANCE
Ligue 1 team signs Winamax

Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille signed a two-year partnership with online poker and betting company Winamax, according to an iSportconnect report. The company’s logo will appear on the team’s shorts for the 2015-16 season.

NORWICH CITY, ENGLAND
Errea to outfit Canaries

Premier League club Norwich City agreed to an eight-year deal with Errea that will see the Italian brand produce the Canaries’ kits until 2024. The launch of the 2015-16 home kit set a new club record for first-day sales.

RIO DE JANEIRO
Torch, relay details announced

The Rio 2016 Olympic torch relay will see the torch pass through the capitals of all 26 Brazilian states and Brasília in the Federal District on its pathway to the start of the Summer Games. All told, the torch relay’s convoy is expected to visit 500 cities and towns and will be accessible to 90 percent of Brazilians.

TOKYO
$2B Olympic stadium confirmed

The Japanese government confirmed that construction on Zaha Hadid Architects’ Tokyo Olympic stadium will start in October and will cost $2.1 billion to complete, according to an Architects Journal report. The venue targets the 2020 Summer Olympics.
