Baseball
Bill Papierniak resigned as general manager of the Class AA Eastern League’s Richmond (Va.) Flying Squirrels.

Colleges
Appalachian State University named Douglas Gillin athletic director. Gillin was deputy athletic director at the University of Missouri.

Coastal Carolina University named Matt Hogue athletic director. Hogue has been interim athletic director since March 2014.

Rutgers University promoted Kevin Lorincz to senior associate athletic director for communications and hired Hasim Phillips as associate athletic director for media relations for football.

Tufts University named John Morris athletic director, effective June 15. Morris is interim athletic director at Colorado State University.

Football
The Denver Broncos hired Ray Jackson as director of player development and Mitch Tanney as director of football analytics. Jackson was director of player development for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tanney was director of analytics for the Chicago Bears.

Hockey
The Ottawa Senators hired Ken Taylor as chief financial officer. Taylor was chief financial officer for BTI Systems.

The Los Angeles Kings named April Alba an assistant for game presentation and events.

Marketing
The Leverage Agency hired Ryan Garton as executive vice president of business development and brand strategy, and Andreja Punkris as marketing and sponsorship coordinator.

Sports Commissions and Tourism Boards
Sports Circle Indy, through its new partnership with Raybourn Group International, named Brian Lewis executive director.

Turnkey Intelligence hired Christina Latyn as senior director of research. Turnkey Search hired Daina Lecuona and Stanley Willard as recruiting associates.

Awards and Boards
The Stadium Managers Association named Mark Burk, Rice-Eccles Stadium director, president; Tony Pereira, Safeco Field senior director of ballpark operations, vice president; and Troy Brown, Chicago White Sox senior director of event operations, secretary/treasurer. Pereira and Mike McFaul, BC Place director of engineering and maintenance, were named stadium manager directors.

The Oregon Sports Authority named Bob Gregg, ID Experts chief executive officer, board president; Doug Obletz, Shiels Obletz Johnsen president and co-founder, president elect; Bill Hueffner, Jeld-Wen vice president of sales and marketing operations, treasurer; Caitlin Sause, Vigor Industrial director of government and public affairs, vice president; Cherri Roden, Standard Insurance second vice president corporate communications, secretary; and Linda Williams, Washington Trust Bank Oregon Region president, chair.
